I have been looking for a Lens Cleaner for both CD Player & Car Stereo for a long time after my car cd stereo had been skipping tracks on retail cd's and stopped reading PC ripped mp3 cd's altogether.

I was having second thoughts if to buy this as i had tried others that were a lot more expensive and did not work, some even got stuck and i had issues getting out.

I decided to give this one a go as it said "Universal Laser Lens Cleaner for CD Player & Car Stereo" together with both low price and free postage I had nothing to loose.

So Glad i did as after one use of the product my Car CD Head unit now reads both retail cd's and PC ripped mp3 cd's again with no issues at all.

Yes i would recommend both this product and supplier as it came before time. 5/5

It arrived on time and was well packaged. It appears to do as it says on the tin so to speak. It has two small brushes on the disk, to which you have add the liquid. Apply the liquid carefully onto the 2 small brushes; don't press the bottle too hard, as all the liquid will squirt out. Place CD into the tray, like an ordinary CD. Press play and listen to the instructions. The whole process takes about 20 seconds. Well worth having for current and future use. There are slightly cheaper versions on the market that do exactly the same thing. Therefore, don't pay too much for this item, as I'm sure they are made in China for about 50 pence each including packaging and shipping to the UK.

I managed to get my CD player working. I kept getting "disk read error" on my car CD player, it is playing well now with no skipping. It was quite easy to use, first time I inserted the CD it showed as faulty and ejected it, so I tried again then the instructions started, which was very clear on what to do. My only niggle there was no hole in the nozzle, you have to prick it with a pin, and you need to be careful, so it would not go everywhere. It does have a good amount of cleaner though. Cheap and does the job.

Lately, my bluray player has been acting up and has started skipping on occasion. After nearly 10 years of constant use, this is expected, but don't want to start shopping around just yet. I decided to try this disc, as I recalled my dad would occasionally clean the heads on his VHS and it work. Took a half on the £5 price of this disk, few seconds later and job done. Put in the last disc I watched and it played as normal from the part it started skipping the other day.

Tip: when using the liquid cleaner for the first time, squeeze over a sink as it shot a load all over the disc.

Bought this because my CD was popping and stalling, and I hadn't cleaned the lens for ages - CD player was unusable.
Instructions were simple enough: you have to put the disc in the drive and then hear the on-disc instructions. Can be difficult if the lens is as mucky as mine was, but persevere!
Use a pin to piece the bottle: put a drop on each of the brushes then insert the disc. Track 1 will say 'go to track # for more instructions for your language (track 2 for English).
It only takes about 1 minute.
The first run of disc cleaning showed some improvement but was still not too good.
I removed the disc, put on some more drops of fluid and tried again. It worked again, was better but still not brilliant.
Simply (especially if your lens is as messy as mine was) it takes time! I ran the disc, with more fluid each time, for about 10 runs, and now my CD works fine! Much cheaper than having it repaired or replaced!
The moral is, don't expect miracles on the first usage, be prepared to use the disc several times, and don't let your lens get filthy! I will now use the disc to clean all my CD drives every few months.
Conclusion? I recommend it. It is cheap and works.
PS my player is a BOSE Wave with 'post box' slot - the disc pops in okay and out too, but can be fiddly to insert or eject, but again, don't give up , just follow your machines guide how to shift stuck discs.

Probably two camps here - those who's CD players are broken, and those (like me) who's player was dirty. Used this CD, which has two brushes that you put a drop of supplied (alcohol based?) cleaner and run the disc until it's finished. Result? - no more skipping. Better still CDs sound noticeably better now.

This product is useless.

It's supplied as a disc and a bottle of cleaning solution, inside a hard plastic blister case that you have to cut open. Once opened there is nowhere to store the solution and the disc is poorly protected.

The solution comes in a dropper bottle. You are supposed to squeeze a couple of drops onto the brushes on the disc. However the dropper seemed to be blocked so no solution would come out; then when squeezed a little harder the entire dropper cap popped out and the solution (which is described as harmful) spilled everywhere.

Having cleaned up, I used the disc to attempt to clean my CD player but it made no difference whatsoever. However, the solution seems to have contaminated the drive mechanism so discs now slip when entering/exiting the player, so now I'm worried a disc will get stuck inside.

If I could give this 0 stars I would.

the bottle design for the cleaning fluid is horrible, its designed to drip out of a small hole too small for liquid to go through, but hte nizzle isn't secured by anything, so when using the product, this flew off, covering my bed clothes, carpet and face in cleaning fluid, its a miracle i shut my eyes before any got in there. this also soaked though to my mattress which i cannot just wash easily. This has wasted the entire bottle of fluid meaning that the product i put down almost £3 for can only be used this once. the only reason that this product is not getting a 1 star review is that after drying off the pool of fluid from the disc, it did succeed in fixing my player, which now works fine.
